PFAS(perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances)are often referred to as"forever chemi-cals"and"toxic time bombs"due to their non-biodegradable nature.With the increasing awareness of envi-ronmental protection and the strict global restrictions on fluorinated compounds,the application of fluorine-free water repellent agents in textiles has gradually become a research hotspot.The development of environ-mentally friendly fluorine-free water repellent agents has become an important research direction in the field of textile functional finishing.The water repellent effects and properties of fusible interlinings finished with four different types of fluorine-free water repellent agents were compared,and their water repellent mecha-nisms and the impact on the properties of fusible interlinings were explored.
