Simulation Study on Impacts of Newly Built Intercity Railway on Travel Frequency

预测交通环境变化后的诱增客流,定量分析新建城际铁路对出行频次的影响,在交通规划的理论研究及工程实践中具有重要意义.基于出行选择行为理论,应用前后关联的两个多项式Logit模型描述出行环境变化条件下出行者的选择行为,第一个模型仿真不同起终点出行者对出行方式的选择,第二个模型仿真不同出行者对出行频次的选择.通过引入出行者消费剩余变量,将两个模型相互关联,以即将开通运营的南京至淮安城际铁路(宁淮城际铁路)为研究背景,应用行为调查及意向调查数据定量研究出行频次的变化.结果表明:多项式Logit模型适用于交通环境变化后的诱增客流预测;出行者的消费剩余是影响出行频次变化的关键因素,出行个体的社会特征与OD(Origin-Destination,代指起始点和目的地)城市的经济发展特征对出行频次有显著影响;在途时间是影响出行频次需求弹性的关键因素,短途商务出行及非商务出行的需求弹性数值范围是-0.61~-0.79,应用弹性分析结果预测宁淮城际铁路开通后出行者由南京去往淮安、宿迁、连云港及盐城等目的地的出行频次增加约 45%.

Predicting induced passenger flow after changes in travel environment and quantitatively analyzing the impacts of newly built intercity railway on travel frequency are of significant importance in both theoretical research and engineering practice of transportation planning.Based on travel choice behavior theory,two linked Multinomial Logit models were applied to describe the choice behavior of travelers under changing travel environment.The first model simulated the choice of travel mode for travelers with different origin-destination(OD)pairs and the second model simulated the choice of travel frequency by travelers.By introducing a traveler's consumer surplus variable,the two models were linked with each other.Using the Nanjing-Huai'an High-speed Railway(Nanjing-Huai'an Intercity Railway),which was about to commence operation,as the research background,changes in travel frequency were quantitatively analyzed based on revealed preference survey data and stated preference survey data.The results showed that the Multinomial Logit model was suitable for predicting induced passenger flow after changes in travel environment;travelers'consumer surplus was a key factor affecting changes in travel frequency,and social characteristics of travelers and economic development characteristics of OD cities had significant impacts on travel frequency;in-vehicle travel time was a key factor affecting demand elasticity of travel frequency,demand-elasticity values for short-distance business travel and non-business travel ranged from-0.61 to-0.79,and the results of elasticity analysis predicted that,after the opening of the Ninghuai Intercity Railway,travel frequency of travelers from Nanjing to destinations such as Huai'an,Suqian,Lianyungang,and Yancheng increased by approximately 45%.
