RESEARCH ON CHARACTERISTICS OF ICING AND DE-ICING TECHNOLOGIES ON WIND TURBINE BLADES

风电叶片覆冰会导致风电机组出现故障、损坏、发电量损失等问题,由此可知,风电叶片覆冰已成为限制风电机组稳定运行的重要因素.为解决风电叶片覆冰问题,保障风电机组的安全可靠运行,根据现有的研究成果,首先对风电叶片的覆冰类型及特点进行了阐述;然后分析了覆冰产生的危害及监测技术;随后归纳和总结了现有风电叶片防/除冰技术的原理及其优缺点;最后结合当前风电机组运行面临的挑战和存在的问题,提出了合理建议.研究结果显示:1)根据覆冰产生的机理不同,风电叶片覆冰类型可分为冷热交替结冰、雨凇和雾凇 3 种类型.2)目前风电叶片覆冰的预防措施主要包括采取安全保护模式、风电叶片采用防覆冰设计和风速风向仪采用防覆冰设计.3)风电叶片除冰技术主要包括气热除冰技术和电加热除冰技术 2 种.电加热除冰技术在功耗、加热效率、可靠性、除冰效果方面均优于气热除冰技术.因此,在短期覆冰时,2 种除冰技术均可选择;但在长期覆冰时,建议选择电加热除冰技术.建议在风电场勘察设计阶段即考虑风电叶片覆冰带来的影响及相应的覆冰预防措施,有助于减少风电机组并网后技改造成的经济损失.研究结果可为优化风电叶片覆冰预防策略提供理论依据和技术支撑.

Issues such as faults,damages,and power generation capacity losses caused by icing on wind turbine blades have become significant factors limiting stable operation of wind turbines.To address the problem of icing on wind turbine blades and ensure safe and reliable operation of wind turbines,this paper first elaborates on the types and characteristics of icing on wind turbine blades based on existing research findings.Then,the hazards and monitoring techniques caused by icing are analyzed.It summarizes the principles and advantages/disadvantages of current wind turbine blade anti-/de-icing technologies,and proposes reasonable recommendations by considering the challenges and existing problems faced by current operation of wind turbines.The research results show that:1)According to the different mechanisms of icing,wind turbine blade icing can be divided into three types:alternating cold and hot icing,glaze,and rime.2)Current prevention measures for icing on wind turbine blades primarily include adopting safety protection modes,blade adopt anti-icing design,and the anemometer adopts anti icing design.3)De-icing technologies mainly consist of air-thermal de-icing and electric heating de-icing.Electric heating de-icing technology outperforms air-thermal de-icing technology in terms of power consumption,heating efficiency,reliability,and de-icing effectiveness.Therefore,both de-icing technologies can be selected for short-term icing,but electric heating de-icing is recommended for prolonged icing periods.It is suggested to consider the impacts of wind turbine blade icing and corresponding icing prevention measures during the wind farm site investigation and design phase,helping to reduce economic losses caused by technical modifications of wind turbines after grid connection.The results provide a theoretical basis and technical support for optimizing wind turbine blade icing prevention strategies.
