Population Structure and Dynamic Characteristics of Three Birch Secondary Forests in the Bailong River Forest Area

以甘肃南部白龙江林区红桦、白桦和糙皮桦三种次生林为研究对象,采用群落生态学研究方法,在研究区设置20m×30m固定样方,测量结构数据,利用种群数量变化动态指数和生存分析方法,揭示白龙江林区3种桦木不同龄级种群的存活率、死亡率及种群结构特征,预测未来种群动态变化趋势.研究结果表明:(1)红桦种群在各龄级的数量分布比较均匀,存活率较高,尤其在低龄级表现出较强的适应能力,种群稳定性较好.(2)白桦和糙皮桦的种群数量在高龄级显著减少,存活率下降明显,种群结构波动较大,表明其在高龄级面临较大的生存压力.(3)静态生命表分析进一步证实,红桦的期望寿命较高,死亡率较低,而白桦和糙皮桦在高龄级的死亡率显著增加.(4)3种桦木种群在未来2、4、6、8龄级后个体数量都呈增加趋势.本研究揭示了白龙江林区3种桦木种群的结构特征与适应策略,为该区域桦木次生林的精准管护(如白桦高龄级疏伐、糙皮桦高海拔生境保护)及生态功能维持提供科学依据.

Taking three secondary forest types of Betula albosinensis,Betula platyphylla,and Betula utilis in the Bailongjiang Forest Area of southern Gansu as the research object,this study employed community ecology research methods.Permanent sample plots of 20 m × 30 m were established in the study area to measure structural data.Using population dynamic indices and survival analysis meth-ods,the survival rate,mortality,and population structure characteristics of the three birch species across different age classes in the Bailongjiang Forest Area were revealed,and future population dy-namics were predicted.The results showed that:(1)The population size distribution of Betula al-bosinensis was relatively uniform across age classes,with a high survival rate,particularly showing strong adaptability at young age classes and relatively stable population structure.(2)The population sizes of Betula platyphylla and Betula utilis decreased significantly in older age classes,with a nota-ble decline in survival rates and considerable fluctuation in population structure,indicating greater survival pressure at advanced age classes.(3)Static life table analysis further confirmed that Betula albosinensis had a higher life expectancy and lower mortality,while Betula platyphylla and Betula utilis exhibited significantly increased mortality in older age classes.(4)The individual numbers of all three birch populations showed an increasing trend after 2,4,6,and 8 age classes in the future.This study reveals the structural characteristics and adaptation strategies of the three birch populations in the Bailongjiang Forest Area,providing a scientific basis for precise management and conservation(e.g.,thinning of mature Betula platy phylla,protection of high-altitude habitats for Betula utilis)and maintenance of ecological functions in birch secondary forests in the region.
