Evolution of Inclusions in 20CrMnTiH Gear Steel during Smelting Processes
本文探究了某钢厂由转炉→精炼→VD炉→铸坯流程生产的 20CrMnTiH各工序夹杂物的现状,同时为了进一步控制齿轮钢中的非金属夹杂物水平,对其冶炼流程各工序进行系统取样分析,从非金属夹杂物的数量、尺寸、类型、形貌及成分等方面探索了夹杂物形成及演变规律.结果表明,LF精炼进站夹杂物主要为簇群状Al2O3,LF精炼出站夹杂物逐渐向Al2O3-CaO-MgO复合夹杂转变,VD破空后夹杂物演变为Al2O3-CaO-MgO-CaS,后续阶段CA夹杂物在固、液态夹杂物间转变.从分析中发现软吹后到中包浇注再到铸坯阶段,两阶段均可能存在二次氧化现象,导致氧化物夹杂物增加,从VD炉破空阶段开始氧化物夹杂物边缘被CaS夹杂包裹,从中间包到铸坯阶段TiN夹杂物显著增加等问题,本文对存在的问题提出改善措施.
This study investigates the characteristics of inclusions in 20CrMnTiH gear steel produced via the process route of converter → refining → VD furnace → continuous casting.To further control the level of non-metallic inclusions,systematic sampling and analysis were conducted at each stage of the smelting process.The formation and evolution mechanisms of inclusions were explored in terms of their quantity,size,type,morphology,and composition.The results indicate that the primary inclusions at the LF refining entry stage are clustered Al2O3,which gradually transform into Al2O3-CaO-MgO complex inclusions by the LF exit stage.After VD degassing,the inclusions further evolve into Al2O3-CaO-MgO-CaS,with subsequent transitions between solid and liquid phases of calcium aluminate(CA)inclusions.Analysis reveals potential secondary oxidation phenomena during the stages from soft blowing to tundish casting and billet solidification,leading to an increase in oxide inclusions.Additionally,CaS begins to encapsulate the edges of oxide inclusions after VD degassing.Notably,TiN inclusions increase significantly from the tundish to the billet stage.Improvement measures are proposed to address the identified issues in this paper.
