甘肃省小麦病害研究60年回顾与展望OA
A 60-Year Review Advance and Prospect of Wheat Diseases Research in Gansu Province
小麦是甘肃省最主要的粮食作物,更是基本口粮,近年来播种面积维持在 73.73 万hm2 左右.条锈病、白粉病不仅是发生于甘肃省小麦生产上最主要的病害,更是严重威胁中国小麦安全生产的最主要生物因素.甘肃省农业科学院植物保护研究所的一代代科学家们,长期立足甘肃陇南,面向全省,与中国农业科学院植物保护研究所、西北农林科技大学、中国农业大学及甘肃省植保植检站及甘肃省农业科学院小麦研究所、天水市农业科学研究所等单位密切合作,坚持有组织的科研活动,系统开展了以条锈病和白粉病为主的小麦病害研究,先后取得了"甘肃陇南是小麦条锈病常发易变区,是条锈菌新小种的策源地""甘肃陇南是中国小麦条锈菌最大、最重要的越夏区""甘肃陇南是小麦条锈菌流行的心脏地带和热点地区,更是条锈病治理的关键地带"等重要结论和一系列阶段性研究成果,并得到广泛应用,为保障甘肃省乃至全国小麦安全生产做出了重要贡献.本文从条锈病在中国小麦病害流行体系中的作用、条锈病菌和白粉病菌周年动态监测与控制、品种(系)抗病性鉴定筛选和应用、新药剂筛选与高效耦合技术以及适期晚播、种子拌种等综合防控技术集成研究和示范应用等方面,系统回顾了团队在甘肃省小麦病害研究 60a进展;结合近年来甘肃省气候条件的变化及种植业结构的调整,引致小麦生产布局和主要病害的变化,分析了当前甘肃省小麦生产上存在的植保问题和现实性挑战;文中进一步明确了未来甘肃省小麦病害研究的重点方向,研究目标上以条锈病为核心,强化白粉病及赤霉病、茎基腐病和黑穗病、黄矮病的研究;研究手段上要开展基于数智化的病害精准/早期监测和品种抗病性鉴定和监测,进行以抗病品种、生物源农药为代表的绿色产品研发、筛选与应用,提升高效施药技术耦合产品研发与应用、病害全周期绿色防控技术集成与规模化应用水平等,旨在更好地全面提升甘肃省农业科学院在以条锈病为代表的小麦病害研究领域的国内影响力和地位,为甘肃省小麦大面积单产提升行动提供强有力的科技支撑,助力保障国家粮食安全与区域农业可持续发展.
Wheat is the most important grain crop and the staple food in Gansu Province,with the sown area remaining at approximately 737 300 ha in recent years.The wheat stripe rust and powdery mildew,caused by Puccinia striiformis f.sp.tritici(Pst)and Blumeria graminis(DC)Speer f.sp.tritici(Bgt),are not only the most prevalent diseases in wheat production in Gansu Province but also the most critical biological factors threatening the safe production of wheat in China.Generations of scientists from the Institute of Plant Protection,Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences,have long been based in Longnan,Gansu,serving the entire province while maintaining close cooperation with the Institute of Plant Protection,Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences,Northwest A&F University,China Agricultural University,the Gansu Plant Protection and Quarantine Stations,the Wheat Research Institute of Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences,and the Tianshui Institute of Agricultural Sciences.Through sustained,well-organized scientific research,they have systematically conducted wheat disease studies focusing on stripe rust and powdery mildew.A series important conclusions were obtained,including"Gansu Longnan is the region where wheat stripe rust is frequently observed and prone to variability,serving as a source for new physiological races of the stripe rust pathogen,""Gansu Longnan is the largest and most important over-summering area for wheat stripe rust pathogen in China"and"Gansu Longnan is a heart land and hot spot for the spread of wheat stripe rustdisease,and a critical area for its management."A series of phased research achievements derived from these conclusions have been widely applied,making significant contributions to ensuring wheat production safety in Gansu Province and across the country.We systematically review the 60-year progress of wheat disease research in Gansu Province from perspectives such as the role of stripe rust in the epidemic system of wheat diseases in China,annual dynamic monitoring and control of stripe rust and powdery mildew pathogens with their isolates Pst and Bgt populations,identification,screening,and application of disease-resistant varieties(lines),screening of new pesticides and development of highly efficient coupling technologies,as well as integrated research and demonstration of comprehensive control technologies such as timely late sowing and seed coating,etc.In combination with recent changes in climatic conditions and adjustments in cropping structure in Gansu Province that have led to shifts in wheat production layout and major diseases,current plant protection issues and practical challenges in wheat production are analyzed.Furthermore,key future research directions for wheat diseases in Gansu Province are clarified.In terms of research objectives,stripe rust will remain the core focus,with strengthened research on powdery mildew as well as wheat scab,crown rot,smut,and wheat yellow dwarf disease.In terms of research approaches,emphasis will be placed on digital-and intelligence-based precise and early disease monitoring,as well as resistance identification and surveillance of wheat varieties,the development,screening,and application of green products represented by disease-resistant varieties and bio-based pesticides,enhancement of research and application of highly efficient pesticide application technologies and coupled products,and improvement of the integration and large-scale application level of full-cycle green prevention and control technologies.These efforts aim to comprehensively enhance the domestic influence and standing of the Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences in wheat disease research represented by stripe rust,provide strong scientific and technological support for large-scale wheat yield improvement actions in Gansu Province,and contribute to safeguarding national food security and promoting regional agricultural sustainable development.
