This article summarizes the main mechanisms of hydrogen embrittlement,including hydrogen induced depolymerization mechanism(HEDE),hydrogen induced local plasticity model(HELP),adsorption induced dislocation emission(AIDE),etc.,and explains the main influencing factors of hydrogen embrittlement;this paper overviews the main preventive measures for hydrogen embrittlement,including appropriate material selection and surface modification,and explains specific operating methods and mechanisms of the above preventive measures;This article reviews the research progress of hydrogen barrier coatings,introduces the mechanisms of metal coatings,polymer coatings,and ceramic coatings,and compares the hydrogen permeability data of common coatings.
