With the application of axial flux permanent magnet motors in rail transit,new energy vehicles,and the military industry in recent years,their technical level and industrial chain maturity have become sufficient to meet the operational requirements of the water conservancy sector.This paper outlines the reasons for retrofitting the pump units at the Jiuwei Gang Pumping Station in Nantong and presents the design and study of the structure and working principles of the rare earth High-Efficiency permanent magnet machine.Additionally,the energy-saving outcomes following the retrofit have also been discussed and analyzed.
