粤东沿海地区海蚀遗迹分布及宇宙成因核素测年分析OA
Spatial Distribution of Marine Erosional Landforms and Primary Exploration of Cosmogenic Dating Along the Coastline of Eastern Guangdong,China
更新世晚期以来的构造活动性是华南沿海地区地壳稳定性评价的重要参考.以往研究已系统论述下沉区相关沉积与断裂的切割关系,但隆起区因定年技术制约而少有关注.宇宙成因核素年代学有效解决了隆起区的测年难题.本研究基于粤东地区海岸带的古海蚀遗迹地貌调查,以汕尾遮浪半岛花岗岩海蚀阶地为研究对象,测定四级海蚀阶地的宇宙成因核素浓度,计算最小暴露年龄,获取隆起区差异运动的活动速率.结果显示,四级海蚀阶地分别对应现代海面、全新世高海面、深海氧同位素阶段(Marine Isotope Stage,MIS)3和4的古海面.古海面及现今海蚀阶地面的高差揭示,汕尾地区至少自MIS4阶段以来经历构造隆升,MIS3以来最大抬升幅度超100 m,平均抬升速率(按50 ka以来估算)接近2 mm/a,与现今珠江三角洲西南组所得隆升速率较为一致.类似地,按MIS4以来估算,局地的平均抬升幅度为106 m,平均抬升速率(按70 ka估算)约为1.5 mm/a,与现今珠江三角洲石排组所得隆升速率较为一致.上述结果揭示了末次冰期以来汕尾地区基底断裂(断块)具有较为明显的活动特征.这些发现对于汕尾市区,以及邻近的粤港澳大湾区城市群的城市地质安全,无疑是十分重要的警示,应给予高度重视.
The tectonic activity since the Late Pleistocene plays a critical role in evaluating crustal stability in the coastal areas of South China.Previous studies have systematically examined the relationship between sedimentation and faulting in subsidence zones,whereas uplift areas have received limited attention due to dating constrains.Cos-mogenic nuclide dating effectively resolves the chronological challenges in uplift regions.This study investigates ma-rine erosional landforms along the eastern Guangdong coastal zone,focusing on granite-based marine terraces in Zhelang,Shanwei.By determining the exposure ages of four marine terraces using cosmogenic nuclides,we quan-tify the differential movement rates in uplift areas.The results reveal that the four marine terraces correspond to modern sea level,the Holocene highstand,and paleo-sea levels during MIS3 and MIS4.The elevation differences between paleo-sea levels and contemporary terraces indicate tectonic uplift in Shanwei since MIS4.The maximum uplift exceeding 100 m since MIS3 yields an average rate of~2 mm/a,consistent with current uplift rates observed in the southwestern Pearl River Delta.Similarly,a local average uplift of 106 m since MIS4 corresponds to a rate of~1.5 mm/a calculated over 70 ka,aligning with uplift rates derived from the Shipai Formation in the Pearl River Delta.These results reveal that the basement faults(blocks)in the Shanwei area have exhibited relatively pro-nounced activity characteristics since the Last Glacial Period.These findings provide an important geological refer-ence for assessing the safety of the Shanwei urban area and the neighboring city clusters of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,and should be given high priority in regional stability evaluations.
