Obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)is a common sleep-related breathing disorder.Obesity is an impor-tant reversible risk factor,and obese OSAHS significantly affects patients'quality of life.Phlegm-Dampness is a key pathogenic factor in obese OSAHS,and its formation process involves the interaction between the Lung and Spleen.Dysfunction of the Lung and Spleen and deficiency of Middle Qi are the root causes of snoring,while blockage by Phlegm-Dampness and congestion of the orifices are the manifestations.Converging phlegm and blood stasis and damage to the Lung collaterals contribute to the worsening of the condition.Gut microbiota plays a crucial role in the progression of obesity and OSAHS;a disrupted gut microbiota structure,impaired intestinal barrier,and abnormal microbial metabolites together influence the onset of obese OSAHS,as well as immune and metabolic responses.By using Traditional Chinese Medicine to regulate gut microbiota,optimize lung and spleen function,reduce phlegm-dampness accumulation,and alleviate lung network damage,obese OSAHS can be treated.This approach not only helps identify specific related microbial groups but also deepens the understanding of the pathogenesis of obese OSAHS,providing new theoretical and practical insights for precise pre-vention and treatment based on overall regulation of the"Lung-Spleen-Intestine"axis.
