Taking bermudagrass(Cynodon dactylon L.)variety'A12359'as the test material,bioinformatics related methods were used to study the PIF gene relationship,gene structure,conserved motifs,promoter cis-acting elements,and gene expression patterns under shading stress,in order to reveal the potential role of this gene family in shading stress response and provide reference for the improvement of bermudagrass varieties and molecular breeding.The results showed that 33 CdPIFs genes were identified in bermudagrass,a relatively high number compared to other species,which may be attributed to its genome duplication history and habitat adaptation.Phylogenetic analysis classified these 33 genes into four subfamilies.Conserved motif analysis demonstrated that most CdPIFs genes contain motif 1,motif 3,and motif 7,indicating high evolutionary conservation.Promoter cis-acting element analysis revealed an enrichment of light-responsive,hormone-responsive,and stress-responsive elements,with light-responsive elements being the most abundant,underscoring the critical role of light in CdPIFs gene regulation.Gene linkage and chromosomal localization analyses indicated an uneven distribution of multiple CdPIF genes across chromosomes.Transcriptomic analysis identified significant differential gene expression in the 6-hour shade treatment group compared to other treatments.Notably,CdPIF15,CdPIF25,CdPIF26,and CdPIF27 exhibited consistently high expression levels under shade stress.
