The impact of desert environments on the respiratory systems of Air Force training personnel

目的 探讨荒漠环境对飞行员及空军地勤人员呼吸系统的影响,探索应对措施,为保障官兵呼吸系统健康提供理论基础.方法 采用问卷方式调查某基地 200 名官兵,对呼吸系统症状种类、出现时机、持续时间、缓解措施及相应卫勤需求进行统计分析.结果 8.2%飞行员在执飞任务中出现轻度胸闷、流涕、咳嗽等症状,经抗荷动作或调整呼吸后可以缓解,6.1%人员执行长期飞行任务后出现轻度持续性咳嗽,经物理治疗后可缓解,基础疾病与飞行任务中出现的症状无相关性.83.3%地勤人员在过去一年中曾出现一种或多种呼吸系统不适症状,如咽干、咽痛、鼻塞、流涕、咳嗽等,此类人群既往多合并咽炎、鼻炎,45.8%地勤人员症状在冬季加重且持续时间较长,而 27.1%症状加重与季节变化不相关.户外活动时采取有效防护措施可相对减少就医次数,卫勤需求体现为超半数人希望可以提供防护用品,也希望普及健康知识、加强空气质量监测、改善医疗条件.结论 荒漠环境会加重作训人员呼吸系统症状、影响人体健康,加强官兵健康教育、做好室外防护措施、对基层部队提供医疗帮助等措施有助于卫勤保障全面推进.

Objective To investigate the impact of desert environments on the respiratory systems of pilots and Air Force ground crew and explore countermeasures,providing a theoretical basis for safeguarding the respiratory health of military personnel.Methods A questionnaire-based survey was conducted among 200 personnel at a military base to statistically analyze the types,timing,duration,and alleviation measures of respiratory symptoms,as well as corresponding medical support needs.Results Mild symptoms such as chest tightness,rhinorrhea,and cough were reported by 8.2%of pilots during flight missions,which were alleviated through anti-G straining maneuvers or breathing adjustments.Additionally,6.1%of personnel developed a mild persistent cough after prolonged flight missions,which was relieved with physical therapy.No correlation was observed between preexisting medical conditions and symptoms occurring during flight missions.Among ground crew,83.3%reported one or more respiratory discomforts in the past year,such as dry throat,sore throat,nasal congestion,rhinorrhea,and cough,often coexisting with prior pharyngitis or rhinitis.Symptoms worsened during winter in 45.8%of ground crew,with prolonged duration,while 27.1%reported symptom aggravation unrelated to seasonal changes.Effective outdoor protective measures reduced medical visits.Medical support needs included requests for protective equipment(over 50%),health education,enhanced air quality monitoring,and improved medical facilities.Conclusion Desert environments exacerbate respiratory symptoms and negatively impact the health of military personnel during training.Comprehensive medical support should prioritize health education,optimized outdoor protection,and enhanced medical assistance at the grassroots level to ensure respiratory health.
