空天微生物与生物安全:潜在风险与转化机遇OA
Aerospace microbiology and biosecurity:potential risks and translational opportunities
空天生物安全是保障空天飞行安全与防范地外生物风险的关键领域.航空航天特殊环境因素(如微重力、辐射、温度、气压等)可作为重要的选择压力,促使微生物发生适应性改变,具体包括机体潜伏病毒重激活、细菌致病性增强,以及肠道、皮肤及口腔菌群结构改变等.目前,在航天器材料选择至空天微生物净化全流程中,已对航天器各系统实施微生物控制以防范外部污染;然而,人体内共生的微生物则难以彻底清除,成为潜在生物安全风险.同时,空天特殊环境也有可能为发现微生物压力性演化新规律、致病性改变新靶点和机体感染免疫互作新机制提供全新研究视野.系统综述空天特殊环境因素对机体潜伏病毒及常见条件致病菌致病性的影响与机制,可为保障空天飞行生物安全系统性防控和空地协同开发利用新资源提供新思路与策略.
Aerospace biosafety is a critical field dedicated to ensuring the safety of spaceflight and preventing extraterrestrial biological risks.Unique aerospace environmental factors—such as microgravity,radiation,temperature,and atmospheric pressure—act as significant selective pressures that drive microbial adaptation.These changes may manifest as reactivation of latent viruses in the host,enhanced bacterial pathogenicity,and structural alterations in the gut,skin,and oral microbiota.Currently,microbial control measures are implemented across all spacecraft systems,from material selection to sterilization processes,to mitigate external contamination.However,the human microbiome,consisting of symbiotic microorganisms,cannot be fully eradicated,thereby posing a potential biosafety risk.Meanwhile,the unique aerospace environment may also offer new perspectives for discovering novel patterns of microbial stress-driven evolution,new targets for pathogenicity alteration,and new mechanisms of host-pathogen immune interactions.This review systematically summarizes the impact of unique aerospace environmental factors on latent viruses and common opportunistic pathogens,as well as their underlying mechanisms,aiming to provide novel insights and strategic approaches for medical protection,systematic prevention,and coordinated ground-space exploitation of new resources to ensure spaceflight safety.
