Functional Dyspepsia(FD)is the most common functional gastrointestinal disease in clinical practice,and pa-tients with FD often suffer from physical and mental problems such as anxiety,depression,and sleep disorders,which have a sig-nificant impact on their daily lives.FD can be categorized into the categories of"fullness","stomach pain",etc.,according to its clinical manifestations.FD can be categorized as"plumpness"and"gastric pain"according to its clinical manifestations,and its etiology mainly involves the weakness of the spleen and stomach,with spleen deficiency as the main cause.Its pathogenesis in western medicine The pathogenesis is mainly related to gastric dysfunction,visceral hyperreactivity,cerebral-intestinal interac-tion disorder,and intestinal flora imbalance.In terms of treatment,Chinese medicine adopts the internal treatment method of tradi-tional Chinese medicine compound and the external treatment method of acupuncture,acupressure,and tuina for treatment.West-ern medical treatments include:gastric stimulation,acid suppressants,H.pylori eradication therapy,electrotherapy,central neuro-modulators and gastroprotectors and other drugs mainly.Chinese and western medical treatments have their own advantages,and the clinic needs to choose the appropriate program according to the patient's specific condition.Based on this,this article reviews the recent studies on FD in both Chinese and western medicine at home and abroad,aiming to provide a new reference direction for the expansion of clinical thinking and optimization of the treatment of FD.
