Green Computing Power Deployment Empowers the Development of the New Energy Industry
本文基于 2011~2023 年中国城市面板数据,运用多时点渐进双重差分模型,系统考察该政策对新能源产业发展的影响.研究发现:(1)国家绿色数据中心建设试点政策对新能源产业发展具有显著促进作用;(2)机制分析表明,国家绿色数据中心建设能够通过绿色创新合作与算力支持推动新能源产业发展;(3)异质性分析显示,国家绿色数据中心建设在互联网行业、中心城市及非资源型城市中对新能源产业发展的促进作用更显著.本文回应了绿色算力部署能否有效赋能新能源产业发展的核心问题,对推动绿色算力部署建设,实现新能源产业高质量发展提供了经验证据.
Utilizing panel data from Chinese cities spanning 2011 to 2023,this article employs a multi-time point progres-sive difference-in-differences model to systematically investigate the impact of the national green data center construction pilot poli-cy on the development of the new energy industry.The research findings are as follows:(1)The national green data center con-struction pilot policy significantly promotes the development of the new energy industry;(2)Mechanism analysis reveals that the establishment of national green data centers fosters the development of the new energy industry through green innovation cooperation and enhanced computing power support;(3)Heterogeneity analysis indicates that the construction of national green data centers has a more pronounced positive effect on the new energy industry within the Internet sector,central cities,and non-resource-based cities.This article addresses the critical question of whether the deployment of green computing power can effectively facilitate the advancement of the new energy industry,thereby providing empirical evidence to support the promotion of green computing power initiatives and the attainment of high-quality development in the new energy sector.
