Comprehensive Review of Thermal Design and Thermal Management Technologies for New Energy Vehicle Drive Motors

该文综述了新能源汽车驱动电机的热设计和热管理技术.首先,介绍了新能源汽车驱动电机的种类及其特点,并讨论了其设计指标要求.其次,探讨了驱动电机热设计技术,包括定子绕组铜耗和定子铁心损耗的抑制技术,特别强调了扁线电机绕组技术的发展,以及如何通过技术创新降低高频交流损耗.然后,探讨了驱动电机热管理技术,包括机壳冷却技术、定子铁心冷却技术、定子绕组冷却技术和转子冷却技术,分析了各种冷却技术的优缺点和适用范围.最后,对新能源汽车驱动电机的未来发展态势进行了展望,指出了驱动电机永磁化、扁线化、非晶/纳米晶化和油冷化的发展趋势及其技术难点.

With the acceleration of global energy transition,electric vehicles have become the core development direction of the automotive industry due to their zero emissions and high efficiency.The drive motor,as the"power heart"of an electric vehicle,directly affects the energy efficiency and reliability of the entire vehicle.In specific application scenarios,new energy vehicles have more stringent requirements for the volume and weight of the drive motor.High efficiency,high power density,and a compact structure are required,and the drive motor is continuously developing towards higher voltage and frequency.However,this development leads to increased AC losses and excessive temperature rise,which directly affects the operating efficiency and service life of the motor.Therefore,temperature management of the drive motor for new energy vehicles is of vital importance.Currently,there is no comprehensive summary and conclusion for suppressing the temperature rise of new energy vehicle drive motors.Thus,this paper reviews the types and characteristics of new energy vehicle drive motors,summarizes the key technologies of thermal design and thermal management,and looks forward to their future development trends and directions. The solutions for effectively reducing the loss density of the drive motor are summarized,as well as the suppression of the heat source,heat generation,and temperature rise.The suppression technologies for copper loss in the stator winding and stator core are discussed,with emphasis on the development of flat-wire motor winding and high-frequency AC loss reduction technologies.Then,the cooling system optimization methods for enhancing the heat dissipation capacity and their cooling effect are summarized.The casing,stator core,stator winding,and rotor cooling technologies are analyzed.In addition,the advantages,disadvantages,and application scope of cooling technologies are compared. This paper elaborates on the development of key technologies for drive motors in new energy vehicles,including their types and characteristics,thermal design technologies,and thermal management technologies.It also summarizes the future development trends of drive motors for new energy vehicles,including the permanent magnetization of drive motors,flat-wire winding for permanent magnet motors,non-crystalline/nanocrystalline treatment of the permanent magnet motor core,and permanent magnet motors with oil-cooling systems.
