中国超白玻璃用低铁石英砂的矿物材料学特征OA

Mineral material science characteristics of low iron quartz sand for ultra-clear glass in China

低铁石英砂需求量巨大,是对中国光伏产业高质量发展具有重要作用的一类石英原材料产品.以中国超白玻璃大型企业生产使用的全国不同产地的低铁石英砂为研究对象,采用电感耦合等离子体发射光谱仪、X射线衍射仪、扫描电镜-能谱仪和体视镜等现代分析测试技术,系统地研究它们的矿物材料学特征,其中包括化学成分、矿物组成、吸附水含量、粒度分布、显微形貌以及pH值与酸残留等.结果表明:(1)符合超白玻璃企业标准要求的低铁石英砂,其矿物成分全部为石英,吸附水含量≤6%,粒度集中在-40~+140目(-0.425~+0.106 mm),化学成分为w(SiO2)≥99.82%、w(Al2O3)≤0.234%、w(Fe)≤88.659×10-6、w(Ti)≤185.292×10-6、w(Cr)≤0.792×10-6、w(Ni)≤0.116×10-6;(2)在矿砂和海砂 2种样品中,海砂的化学指标明显优于矿砂,因为海砂样品痕量杂质元素总量为325.115×10-6,明显低于矿砂样品(≥401.477×10-6),尤其是w(Fe)、w(Ti)最低,分别为 44.045×10-6 和31.910×10-6;(3)酸洗砂残留的氯离子对超白玻璃生产工艺和产品质量都有明显不利的影响,应将残留的酸和氯离子清洗干净,使产品酸碱度pH值达到中性的要求,并作为质量检测和技术指标的重要内容之一;(4)根据低铁石英砂Fe、Ti的质量要求与实际含量,为了准确测试痕量杂质元素含量,建议采用低检出限的电感耦合等离子体发射光谱仪检测分析方法.

Low iron quartz sand is a quartz raw material product with huge demand,playing an important role in the photovoltaic industry and used to manufacture ultra-clear glass in China.In this paper,the mineral material science characteristics of low iron quartz sand from different regions of China are systematically studied using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry(ICP-OES),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectroscopy(SEM-EDS),and stereoscopy.Using these techniques,we determine the chemical composition,mineral composition,adsorbed water content,particle size distribution,microscopic morphology,pH value,and acid residue of the samples.The results show that:(1)In line with the ultra-clear glass enterprise standard requirements of low iron quartz sand,its mineral composition is primarily quartz,with an adsorbed water content≤6%,particle sizes concentrated to-0.425~+0.106 mm,and we find chemical compositions of w(SiO2)≥99.82%,w(Al2O3)≤0.234%,w(Fe)≤88.659×10-6,w(Ti)≤185.292×10-6,w(Cr)≤0.792×10-6,and w(Ni)≤0.116×10-6.(2)Among mineral sand and sea sand samples,the chemical index of the latter is significantly better.The total amount of trace impurity elements in the sea sand samples is 325.115×10-6,which is significantly lower than that of mineral sand samples(≥401.477×10-6),where the contents of Fe and Ti are the lowest(44.045×10-6 and 31.910×10-6,respectively).(3)Residual chloride ions of pickling sand have obvious adverse effects on the production process and the quality of manufactured ultra-clear glass.As such,the residual acid and chloride ions should be removed,to make the pH value of the product reach a neutral value and adhere to quality testing and technical requirements.(4)According to the quality requirements and actual contents of Fe and Ti in low iron quartz sand,to determine the content of trace impurity elements accurately,it is recommended to use the ICP-OES detection and analysis method with low detection limits.
