To meet market demand,the production process of patterned cigarette paper was developed,advantages and disadvantages of two methods were primarily evaluated,including printed patterns and dry embossing.The results showed that for printed patterned cigarette pa-per,except for a 2 percentage points decrease in D65 brightness,other indicators showed no significant changes.Dry-embossed patterned cigarette paper exhibited a strong three-dimensional embossing structure with clear contours,and the front rib strength reached 13.4%,which was better than conventional cigarette paper,the longitudinal tensile energy absorption was 8.75 J/m²,meeting normal cigarette paper requirements.In summary,both methods could produce cigarette paper with clear patterns and good safety,without adverse effects on ciga-rette smoke.
