对于《论语》"《关雎》之乱",前人曾有多种解释,但这些解释皆与《史记》"《关雎》之乱以为《风》始"的表述存在矛盾.依据《史记》这一表述,结合《左传》、三《礼》等相关记载,参照汉语的用语习惯,不难推知"《关雎》之乱"与《墨子》"云梯之械"等说法在语法结构上完全一致."云梯之械"即云梯这一器械,"《关雎》之乱"也即《关雎》这一"乱乐",它本就是指《关雎》而言的.由于《关雎》总是用在"燕礼""乡饮酒礼"等诗乐表演末尾的合乐部分,也即"乱乐"部分,所以《论语》《史记》才有"《关雎》之乱"的称谓.弄明"《关雎》之乱"的具体所指,不仅可以化解《论语》《史记》等相关记载的矛盾,为探知商周、周楚诗乐异同提供新据,也可以为新出土文献《周公之琴舞》文化属性的界定提供新的视域,进而推动对先秦诗乐发展演变的新认识.

Regarding the phrase"the finale of Guan Ju(关雎)"in The Analects of Confucius(论语),previous scholars have offered various interpretations,all of which sharply contradict the statement in the Records of the Grand Historian(史记)that"'the finale of Guan Ju(关雎)'serves as the beginning of the'Airs of the States(国风)'."Based on this statement from the Records of the Grand Historian(史记),combined with relevant records from the work of Zuo Zhuan(左传)and the"Three Ritual Classics"(三礼),namely,The Etiquette and Ceremonial(仪礼),The Rites of Zhou(周礼),and The Book of Rites(礼记),and considering Chinese linguistic conventions,it is reasonable to infer that the grammatical structure of"the finale of Guan Ju(关雎)"is entirely consistent with phrases like"the device of cloud ladders"from the Mozi(墨子)."The device of cloud ladders"refers to the cloud ladder itself as a device,and similarly,"the finale of Guan Ju(关雎)"refers to Guan Ju(关雎)itself as a"finale piece"(乱乐).Since Guan Ju(关雎)was always performed in the concluding ensemble section,known as the"finale piece"part,of poetry and music performances such as the"Banquet Rite"(燕礼)and"District Drinking Ceremony"(乡饮酒礼),The Analects of Confucius(论语)and the Records of the Grand Historian(史记)thus use the term"the finale of Guan Ju(关雎)."Clarifying the specific referent of"the finale of Guan Ju(关雎)"not only resolves the apparent contradictions among the relevant records in The Analects of Confucius(论语)and the Records of the Grand Historian(史记),providing new evidence for exploring the similarities and differences between Shang-Zhou(商周)and Zhou-Chu(周楚)poetry and music,but also offers a new perspective for defining the cultural attributes of the newly excavated text Zhou Gong Zhi Qin Wu(The Duke of Zhou's Qin Dance 周公之琴舞),thereby further promoting a new understanding of the development and evolution of Pre-Qin poetry and music.
