Bifidobacterium is an anaerobic Gram positive bacterium,which is widely present in habitats such as the digestive tract and oral cavity of humans and animals,and is also an important beneficial bacterium in the gut microbiota,which has physiological effects such as maintaining and promoting intestinal health,inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria,enhancing immunity,promoting food digestion,antioxidant activity,and drug resistance,and is widely used in fields such as food,medicine,and feed.This article comprehensively summarized the screening and application status of Bifidobacterium in animal husbandry in recent years,aimed to provide reference for improving the added value of Bifidobacterium and their development and utilization in animal husbandry.
