Effect of Selenium on Reproductive Performance in Male Animals under Heat Stress and Possible Mechanisms
在畜牧生产中,适宜的环境温度对保障雄性动物生殖性能至关重要.近年来,由于集约化养殖和全球气候变暖,使得雄性动物更容易发生热应激,从而带来不可逆的经济损失.在应对策略上,除强化饲养管理外,通过营养调控缓解热应激的研究已成为领域内的重点方向.硒(Se)作为动物必需的微量矿物质元素,是机体至少25种硒蛋白的核心结构成分,在生理代谢中发挥关键作用.文章介绍了热应激条件下硒对雄性动物生殖性能的影响及可能机制,旨在为利用硒缓解雄性动物热应激提供理论参考.
In livestock production,maintaining an appropriate environmental temperature is crucial for ensuring the reproductive performance of male animals.In recent years,intensification of farming and global warming have increased the susceptibility of male animals to heat stress,leading to irreversible economic losses.In terms of mitigation strategies,in addition to improved feeding management,research on nutritional interventions to alleviate heat stress has become a key focus in the field.Selenium(Se),an essential trace mineral for animals,serves as a core structural component of at least 25 selenoproteins in the body and plays a critical role in physiological metabolism.This article reviews the effects of selenium on the reproductive performance of male animals under heat stress conditions and explores the potential mechanisms,aiming to provide a theoretical reference for utilizing selenium to mitigate heat stress in male animals.
