敦煌汉简"风飞沙"正读OA

Sandstorms often exerted destructive impacts on production and transportation in the"northwestern frontier"during the Han Dynasty(206 B.C.-220 A.D.).The earlier discovered Dunhuang Han Bamboo Slips contain texts involving"wind(风)"and"sand(沙)",with the previously read phrase"Feng Fei Sha(风非沙)"(literally"Wind,Not Sand")being particularly noteworthy.Chen Zhi once regarded it as a"poem by the Han people"and suggested that the graph"Fei"(非,"not")might be understood as an abbreviated form of"Fei"(飛,"fly").In recently unearthed Han poetic writings on wooden tablets,some scholars continue to read the piece as a"Wind and Rain Poem,"where"Fei"(非,"not")is interpreted as"Fei"(蜚,"to fly"in an archaic form).Through direct examination of photographic plates and analysis of paleographic evidence,this study argues that both"Feng Fei Sha"(风非沙,"Wind,Not Sand")and"Feng Fei Sha"(风蜚沙,"Wind,Flying Sand"in an archaic form)should be read straightforwardly as"Feng Fei Sha"(风飞沙,"Wind,Flying Sand").This line reflects valuable information about the forms of folk literature in the Han Dynasty that deserve attention.The discovery of the Han poem"Feng Fei Sha"(风飞沙,"Wind,Flying Sand")in Dunhuang can be viewed both as a record of the writer's firsthand experience of the ecological environment in the Hexi Corridor and as valuable evidence for understanding the ecological conditions of the Silk Road during the Han Dynasty.
