Research on Waterfront Space Design Based on the Concept of One Health and CPTED Theory
This paper aims to explore the mutual application and integration of the one health concept and CPTED theory in waterfront space design. As an important ecological and leisure resource in cities, the design of waterfront spaces is not only related to the beautification of urban landscapes, but also directly impacts the quality of life, health status, and public safety of the residents. The paper first outlines the core value of the One Health concept, which emphasizes the integrity and interdependence of human, animal, and environmental health.Subsequently,it analyzes the crucial role of CPTED theory in preventing crime and enhancing spatial safety. On this basis, the paper combines these two theories organically, and proposes the practical design strategies for waterfront spaces, including the construction of ecological security patterns, the creation of multi-functional spaces, community participation and self-governance.
