This paper introduces the clinical experience of Director Wang Baoguo in the treatment of dysphagia after stroke.Wang Baoguo advocates the combination of disease differentiation,syndrome differentiation,and meridian differentiation in the treatment of dysphagia after stroke.For treating dysphagia after stroke with acupuncture,the excess syndrome focuses on unblocking the Taiyin Meridian and regulating qi and blood as the guiding principle,while the deficiency syndrome emphasizes strengthening the spleen and tonifying the kidneys as the foundation.Wang Baoguo emphasizes regulating the spirit.First,he uses the"five acupuncture points for opening orifices"to regulate the brain spirit.Second,he selects the points of Dasang,Yuying,and Zhaohai to harmonize the qi movement throughout the body.Third,he combines Shenmai with Zhaohai to balance yin and yang,while simultaneously treating both the body and spirit.Additionally,he employs the"Dragon-Tiger Contention"technique to regulate the ascension and descension of qi movement,aiding in opening the pharyngeal orifice,thereby treating dysphagia.
