Interpretation of expert consensus on biomarkers of aging in the visual sys-tem
"A framework of biomarkers for visual system aging:a consensus statement by the Aging Biomarker Consortium"是由衰老标志物研究联合体(Aging Biomarker Consortium,ABC)制定的首个系统性评估视觉衰老的多维度指标体系.
"A framework of biomarkers for visual system aging:a consensus statement by the Aging Biomarker Consor-tium"is the first multi-dimensional indicator system for standardized assessment of visual system aging proposed by the Ag-ing Biomarker Consortium. This consensus integrates functional, structural, and molecular biomarkers to establish standard tools for early detection of age-related eye diseases,in-depth elucidation of their underlying pathogenic mechanisms, and precise guidance for the implementation of targeted interventions.Functional biomarkers reflect clinical phenotypes,struc-tural biomarkers provide imaging evidence, and molecular biomarkers reveal biological mechanisms. This framework addres-ses the critical gap in quantifying visual system aging and lays a foundation for personalized eye health management and an-ti-aging research. However, further validation and technological refinement are still needed for clinical implementation.
