中国香港拟修订水产品中甲基汞限量标准的通报评议和预警建议OA

Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China has submitted a noti-fication(G/SPS/N/HKR/50)to the WTO Secretariat regarding the revision of heavy metal limit standards,proposing to amend the maximum levels of methylmercury in aquatic products.The external review com-ments suggest supporting the adoption of limit standards for six specific fish species that are consistent with those of the Codex Alimentarius Commission.However,it is also noted that the newly established limits for fish eggs and fish fillets require additional scientific justification.Internally,it is recommended to issue ear-ly warning information to export enterprises,conduct a baseline survey of pollutant levels in domestic aquat-ic processed products,and establish a sustainable mechanism for tracking and participating in the develop-ment of international standards.
