Chronic Kidney disease has a prolonged course and consumes Qi and then the root of human health.During the course of the disease,both external and internal injuries occur,and in severe cases,it can damage the Five Zang and Six Fu,causing pathological fac-tors such as blood stasis,Cold and Dampness as well as Phlegm and Turbidity.Treating the Kidney alone may lead to closed doors and lingering invaders.The pathogenesis is mostly based on the deficiency of the root cause and the excess of the Kidney.Kidney deficiency is the root cause,and various solid pathogens such as Dampness,Turbidity,Toxin,and stasis being the secondary conditions,so identif-ying and treating the root cause is more important.Therefore,clinical diagnosis should be based on the principle of"mutual generation of Gold and Water"to tonify the Kidney,and the treatment of both Lungs and Kidney to regulate the function of the Kidney,in order to find a way out for the evil factors.Emphasis should be placed on the combination of disease and syndrome differentiation,with a focus on distinguishing syndrome types.Treatment should be based on syndrome differentiation and holistic analysis,with a good consideration of development and prognosis,and not confined to individual Zang or Fu.Commonly used methods in clinical practice include promoting Lung and relieving external symptoms,expelling evil factors and protecting the Kidney,promoting Lung meridians,clearing the Kidney and eliminating Turbidity,nourishing the Lungs and Qi as well as nourishing Yin and nourishing the Kidney.
